SNOW!!

And lots of it!! Almost 6 inches by 10am, but it continued snowing for another hour+. School was canceled today, so lots of good playing time. The boys stayed out for about 2 hours. Meredith didn't last that long. She came in for hot chocolate and did some painting instead.

A Lost Tooth!

Jeremy lost his first tooth last night. At almost 7 years old, we were wondering when he'd ever start losing them. Very exciting!

Another Year Older

How could I be 35 already?! I had a wonderful birthday, celebrated in two parts. The day of my birthday (Feb.19) Brendan made his chicken parm with chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Saturday we celebrated with my parents: dinner out at Bugaboo Creek Steak House, a beautiful cake, a few presents, and Wii Bowling.

Jeremy had all the ideas for the cake. Brendan created.

Snow Day

So today is a snow day. Yesterday, we got maybe an inch of snow, with a little more overnight, but this morning we woke up to ice coating everything, therefore, no school. The kids are already outside playing in it, and it's only just after 8am! The temperature is supposed to get up to the mid-40s this afternoon, with the freezing rain changing to rain, so I would guess the snow will be gone by tonight.

The snow was too hard too make snow angels.

Happy Snow Day!

Snow!

Well, just a little bit, but it's the most we've had this winter. The kids had the day off, not for snow, for MLK, so first thing after breakfast, the boys had to dig out the snowpants and boots. Meredith didn't want to be out in the cold, but changed her mind later in the day.

It really was just a dusting!

Game Night

The Vikings were playing the Eagles in the playoffs on January 4. Since we rarely get to see the Vikings play, we thought we'd have my parents over for a mini-party. Jeremy and Dad are Eagles fans; the rest of us go with Brendan and the Vikings. Mom and Dad came early and played the new Wii. We just did bowling, since it's fairly easy and everyone can play (4 at a time). Jason is absolutely hilarious to watch. His whole body gets into the throw - he jumps and spins - of course it takes him longer than everyone else, too; he never lets go of the button at the right time. We had so much fun, and lots of good food. Unfortunately (or fortunately, as the case may be) the Vikings lost. Jeremy was excited for the Eagles, though, but now they're out of it as well.
